Ethan Nwaneri back on Dortmund radar

Borussia Dortmund are once again keeping a close eye on Ethan Nwaneri, with the club weighing up whether to make another move for the Arsenal midfielder this summer.

The 19-year-old is currently on loan at Olympique Marseille until June 30, and Dortmund are said to have checked on his situation again after showing interest in him last season.

Reports in Germany say sporting director Ole Book has recently asked about the player’s availability, underlining how highly the club still rates him.

Nwaneri remains an exciting name for Dortmund, but any deal looks difficult to pull off because Arsenal tied him down to a new contract until 2030 only last year.

A fee would likely be high, and even a loan move may be complicated depending on how Arsenal view his future.

Still, the door is not fully closed. Nwaneri is understood to be open to a summer switch in principle, including a move to the Bundesliga side.

For Dortmund, that makes him a player worth monitoring, even if turning interest into a real transfer will take careful negotiation.
