Espérance Coach Ben Yahia Drops Yannick Ndjeng from Squad Plans
TUNIS – Espérance Sportive de Tunis head coach Khaled Ben Yahia has made it clear that Yannick Ndjeng no longer features in his tactical plans. The Cameroonian striker has been deemed the “weak link” in the team, with Ben Yahia expressing disappointment over the player’s lack of improvement despite continued support.
Speaking to local media, the Tunisian coach stated that all efforts to help Ndjeng find form have proven unsuccessful, prompting the decision to part ways with the forward ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window.
According to Alchourouk, the 24-year-old may already have a way out. A Russian club is reportedly showing interest in the former Cameroonian international and has sent three representatives to Tunis to open negotiations with the Sang et Or management.
Ndjeng, who has previously played in Qatar and Gabon, may now be heading for a new chapter in Eastern Europe as Espérance look to restructure their attack for the second half of the season.
