Eseosa Sule: St Mirren eye move for West Brom and ex-Motherwell forward
Nigeria- and Scotland-qualified centre-forward Eseosa Sule of West Brom U21 is being linked with a move to Scottish Premiership side St Mirren.
The 20-year-old, who was born in Glasgow and came through youth football in Scotland before moving south, is under contract with West Bromwich Albion until June 2027 but is attracting interest after gaining senior experience in recent seasons. St Mirren are understood to be exploring a deal as they assess attacking options for the forthcoming Premiership campaign.
Sule has featured regularly in Premier League 2, making 40 appearances and scoring 14 goals at that level, and has also appeared in the Championship and EFL Cup for West Brom. His record in age-group football includes nine goals in 24 outings in the U18 Premier League, while he has also registered five goals in the Premier League Cup.
The forward spent the first half of the 2025-26 season back in Scotland with Motherwell, joining on loan from West Brom in July 2025 before returning to the Midlands when that spell ended in January 2026. That stint followed his elevation from West Brom’s under-18s to the under-21 squad in the summer of 2024.
Any move to St Mirren would mark a return to the Scottish Premiership for Sule, who has yet to establish himself as a regular in West Brom’s first team and remains tied to the club for another year after the forthcoming season under his current deal.
