ES Tunis set to sign Peru international midfielder Jesús Castillo on three-year deal

Tunisian giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis are set to strengthen their midfield options with the signing of Peru international Jesús Castillo on a three-year contract.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder is expected to arrive in Tunis tomorrow to undergo his medical examinations before completing the final administrative procedures ahead of his move to the North African club.

Castillo’s arrival is part of ES Tunis’ efforts to reinforce their squad with experienced players as they prepare for the challenges of the upcoming season, both domestically and on the continental stage.

The Peruvian midfielder brings international experience to the Tunisian side, having represented the Peru national team.

His ability to operate as a defensive midfielder is expected to add more balance, energy, and defensive stability to the team’s midfield department.

Castillo has also gained experience in European football, featuring for Portuguese club Gil Vicente FC, where he competed in one of Europe’s competitive domestic leagues.

Once the medical tests and final formalities are completed, Castillo will officially become an ES Tunis player, with the club hoping he can play a key role in their ambitions for success in the new campaign.
