Espérance Sportive de Tunis have approached Franco-Tunisian forward Wissam Ben Yedder as they seek to bolster their squad ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
The Tunisian giants are aiming to capitalise on FIFA’s exceptional transfer window, which will run from 1 to 10 June 2025, allowing participating clubs to strengthen their squads for the prestigious tournament.
According to sources, ES Tunis have initiated direct talks with the former AS Monaco striker, who has been without a club since 1 July 2024.
Negotiations are reportedly ongoing, with the club keen to secure the services of the experienced forward to reinforce their attacking options.
Ben Yedder’s free-agent status could facilitate discussions, while the Club World Cup presents a significant opportunity for him to reignite his career on the global stage.
The 34-year-old enjoyed a prolific spell at Monaco, where he scored 118 goals in 214 appearances across all competitions.
His potential arrival would offer ES Tunis a considerable boost as they prepare to compete against some of the world’s top clubs in the United States from 15 June to 13 July 2025.
Should the deal materialise, Ben Yedder’s experience and goal-scoring prowess could prove pivotal in Espérance’s bid to make a mark in the tournament.
