However, he emphasized that he is currently under contract with Lekhwiya until June 2015 and is focused on his recovery after experiencing a brain hemorrhage last November. Therefore, his immediate priority is his health, and he has not engaged in discussions regarding a coaching role at Marseille.
While Marseille continues its search for a new coach, Gerets remains committed to his current contract and is not actively pursuing opportunities elsewhere. Despite the strong connection between Gerets and Marseille, any potential return to the club remains uncertain at this time.
