Eric Ayuk: Cameroon winger joins FC Samtredia on free transfer

Cameroon right winger Eric Ayuk has joined FC Samtredia on a free transfer as the Erovnuli Liga 2 side strengthens its attacking options for the current campaign. The 29-year-old has signed for the Georgian club after most recently being unattached, completing his move on 26 July 2026.

Ayuk, born in Nkol-Afamba in February 1997, arrives as a natural right-sided attacker who prefers to operate off the wing and cut inside on his stronger right foot. Standing at 1.73m, he adds pace and direct running to Samtredia’s frontline as they look to push on in league and cup competition.

The move gives the Cameroonian an opportunity to relaunch his career in Georgia’s second tier, with Samtredia turning to his experience to boost their wide options. His versatility across the attacking line and ability to play in advanced areas on the flank made him an appealing target for the club.

Ayuk has already been registered in time for the 2026 David Kipiani Cup, although he is yet to make his debut in the competition. He has not featured so far this season but is expected to come into contention as Samtredia navigate a busy schedule across league and cup fixtures.

The deal sees Ayuk join FC Samtredia on a permanent basis following his arrival as a free agent.
