After joining Monaco and being named club captain by coach Ranieri, Eric Abidal has set his sights on returning to the French national team. Following a liver transplant and recovery, Abidal expressed his desire to be 100% fit and make a comeback with the Blues. Despite not discussing reinstatement with Didier Deschamps during a recent meeting, Abidal emphasized his passion for representing France, mentioning that it’s a jersey he always wanted to wear. Deschamps has included Abidal in the list of 23 players for the upcoming friendly match against Belgium on FIFA day.
