Equatorial Guinea have named a 23-man squad for the upcoming international break, with head coach Juan Micha opting for continuity ahead of two friendly matches.

The Nzalang Nacional are set to face Kyrgyzstan on 25 March before taking on Madagascar on 31 March, as preparations continue following the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Micha has largely retained the core of the squad that featured at the continental tournament, signalling a desire to maintain stability while gradually introducing changes.

The selection reflects a balance between experienced players and emerging talent, as the team begins what has been described as a rebuilding phase.

Among the notable inclusions are captain Emilio Nsue, along with key figures such as Federico Bikoro and Saúl Coco.

Their presence underlines the coach’s intention to rely on established players to guide the squad through this transitional period.

A total of 23 players have been selected, with the aim of restoring confidence among supporters after recent performances.

The squad combines familiarity with the opportunity for less experienced players to gain valuable international exposure.

The goalkeeping department includes Miguel Angel Oscar, Manuel Sapunga and Aitor Embela, providing options between the posts. In defence, Rony Mbomio, Federico Nsue, Juan Pedro Nsue, Saúl Coco, Prince Michael Nga, Jose Elo Ayeto, Luis Enrique Nsue and Santi Boriko have been named.

Midfield responsibilities will fall to Federico Bikoro, Ramon Boho, Alex Masogo, Gael Akogo, Miguel Angel Okue and Alex Balboa, offering a mix of physicality and technical ability. In attack, Oscar Siafa, Jose Nabil, Josete Miranda, Jose Luis Nsue, Loren Zuniga and Jordan Nsang complete the selection.

These fixtures provide Micha with an opportunity to assess his squad against varied opposition, while also maintaining the structure developed in recent competitions.

With a blend of continuity and gradual renewal, Equatorial Guinea will look to build momentum during the international window.
