Mozambican international and Atletico Madrid star, Reinildo Mandava has attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs ahead of the 2025 season.

With his contract at Atletico set to expire in June 2025, Reinildo will be eligible to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with teams outside Spain starting January next year.

Reinildo, 30, is celebrated for his defensive versatility and tireless work ethic, attributes that have made him a vital asset for Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid. This season, the wing-back has featured in 18 La Liga matches, starting seven, and has also appeared twice in the UEFA Champions League.

The Mozambican captain’s career trajectory is a testament to his resilience and determination. Born in Beira, Mozambique, Reinildo began his professional journey with Ferroviário da Beira before transitioning to European football.

He honed his skills in France with Lille, where his standout performances caught the eye of Atletico Madrid. Since joining the Spanish giants, Reinildo has continued to impress, solidifying his reputation as one of Mozambique’s greatest-ever footballers.

Premier League clubs are reportedly drawn to Reinildo’s defensive consistency and leadership qualities. As the January transfer window approaches, his availability could spark significant interest, potentially paving the way for his first venture into English football.
