For a change, Eloge Enza-Yamissi shifts away from football in his conversation with BFMTV, addressing the pressing issues in his home country. The Valencienne midfielder and captain of the Central African national football team sheds light on the challenging circumstances prevailing in the Central African Republic.
“At present, it’s extremely complicated. There has been a coup d’état, and the current president, Michel Djotodia, has been unable to handle the situation effectively. His army is causing chaos across the country, indiscriminately taking lives. There’s a lack of order, no rules, and no laws,” expresses Enza-Yamissi.
The footballer expresses hope for a substantial improvement in the ground situation, particularly with the ongoing French intervention. He remarks, “We’ve just received news that France is sending assistance. It was about time because this situation has persisted for a long time, and no one was paying attention. I hope the situation will calm down and stabilize. It’s a people who don’t deserve this.”
Since March, the Central African Republic has been grappling with chaos sparked by Seleka rebels, predominantly from Chad and Sudan.
