Akram Djahnit, the captain of Entente Sétif, has made a promising return to individual training after 75 days of recovery.
The 33-year-old attacking midfielder, who suffered a knee injury during a Ligue 1 match against NC Magra on October 4, was immediately operated on in Finland. Since then, Djahnit has been in recovery, and his club confirmed this Thursday that he is back on his feet and progressing well.
The news is a major boost for both Djahnit and Entente Sétif, as the captain was initially expected to be sidelined for at least three months. During a light running exercise, Djahnit showed no signs of complications, suggesting that his recovery is on track. With a return to full fitness on the horizon, there is hope that he could be back in action by January or February 2025, as originally planned.
Before the injury, Djahnit had an impressive start to the season, scoring a goal from the penalty spot against MC El Bayadh in the opening match of Ligue 1.
