Enppi president responds to Hamed Abdullah’s Al Ahly transfer links

Enppi Club president Ayman Al-Shar’i has addressed reports linking midfielder Hamed Abdullah with a potential move to Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the current summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have been among the most active clubs in the transfer market as they continue preparations for the new season, with the club looking to strengthen the squad in line with the requirements of Moroccan head coach Hussein Ammouta.

Reports went rife that Al Ahly had shown interest in signing Hamed Abdullah from Enppi, raising speculation that the petroleum club could lose another key player to the Egyptian champions.

However, Al-Shar’i has clarified that no official agreement has been reached between the two clubs regarding the transfer of the player.

“No official agreements have been made regarding Hamed Abdullah’s transfer to Al Ahly so far, and anything is possible in the coming period.” He said as quoted by btolat.

His comments leave the door open for further developments, with negotiations potentially possible before the closure of the transfer window.

Al Ahly have already strengthened their squad with several additions from Enppi, completing the signings of Akram Abdullah and Ali Mahmoud on five-year contracts as part of their plans to build a competitive squad for the upcoming campaign.

The Cairo giants have also added attacking reinforcements by securing the services of Moroccan striker Soufiane Benjedida from Maghreb Fes on a three-year deal.

The club’s recruitment drive comes as Ammouta begins shaping his team ahead of a demanding season that will see Al Ahly compete across multiple competitions.

The Red Devils have already started their pre-season preparations, featuring in a friendly encounter against Al Nasr as part of their training programme. They are also scheduled to face Lavinia on July 30 in another preparatory fixture aimed at improving match fitness and tactical readiness.

As part of their international preparations, Al Ahly will take on Spanish giants Barcelona in a high-profile friendly match on August 19. The encounter is expected to provide both teams with valuable preparation ahead of the new season.

With Al Ahly continuing to strengthen their squad and Hamed Abdullah remaining on their radar, the coming weeks could prove decisive in determining whether the Enppi midfielder becomes the latest player to make the move to the Egyptian giants.
