Enppi replicated its singular success against Baladiya Al-Mahalla in the Egyptian League, securing a 3-0 victory in the 11th round of the competition.
The two teams have met on four occasions in the Egyptian League, with the first three ending in draws.
Enppi secured their latest win, repeating the same scoreline from the 2007-08 season when they triumphed 3-0.
This marks Enppi’s third consecutive victory, propelling the team to the second position in the league standings with 19 points from 11 matches, trailing the leaders, Zed, by goal difference.
Meanwhile, Baladiya Al-Mahalla continues to struggle, having not won in the last five rounds, and their total points remain at 10, placing them in the 13th position.
Enppi took an early lead with a goal from Ali Fawzi, a direct free-kick expert, in the 9th minute, showcasing a remarkable execution.
They further solidified their lead with a second goal, as Ahmed Amin Qaffa seized an opportunity from a left-wing cross, striking Ahmed Reda’s foot and finding the back of Baladiya’s net in the 19th minute.
This own goal marked the sixth in the current league season.
A minute before the end of the first half, Qaffa secured his second goal and Enppi’s third, exploiting the absence of defensive surveillance, bringing the score to 3-0.
Amin increased his goal tally to 4, leading Enppi’s scorers in the Egyptian League.
In the second half, Baladiya Al-Mahalla faced further challenges as their top scorer, Hossam Ashraf, exited due to injury, replaced by Karim Ashraf in the 53rd minute.
Ahmed Magdy Kahraba added another goal with a header in the 77th minute, widening the gap.
Despite Baladiya Al-Mahalla’s efforts to reduce the difference, the final touch in front of Enppi’s goalkeeper, Abdel Rahman Sameer, lacked precision, concluding the match with Enppi’s convincing 3-0 victory.
