Enppi Chairman Ayman Al-Shari’i: No special bonuses for players
Ayman Al-Shari’i, Chairman of Enppi Club, spoke ahead of his team’s league match against Zamalek, scheduled for next Wednesday at the Arab Contractors Stadium.
The fixture is a rescheduled encounter from the 15th week of the 2025–2026 season.
Speaking on the “On Sport” channel, Al-Shari’i stressed that Enppi would not offer special bonuses to players for the high-profile match. “The team doesn’t need exceptional rewards when facing Al-Ahly or Zamalek,” he said.
He reflected on the club’s season objectives, noting that Enppi’s management had aimed for eighth place from the outset.
“We set realistic targets and achieved them after our win against Ismailia Electricity in the last match,” Al-Shari’i explained.
While he acknowledged the desire to win against Zamalek, the chairman emphasized strategic timing and player development.
“We don’t like losing, but we must choose opportunities wisely, especially since 70% of Enppi’s squad comes from our youth academy,” he said.
Al-Shari’i also outlined his long-term vision: “I want Enppi to be the first team to prepare for next season, starting in the second half of this season. Our youth sector is one of the best in Egypt, and I aim to build a team from this foundation.”
Enppi currently sits on 27 points, two ahead of Wadi Degla, though the latter has completed all its matches.
A victory over Zamalek would secure Enppi a spot in the championship group. Meanwhile, Zamalek leads the league table with 43 points, three clear of Pyramids and Al-Ahly.
