Enock Machaga: Kenyan attacking midfielder joins Gor Mahia from Nairobi United
Kenyan attacking midfielder Enock Machaga has joined Gor Mahia FC from Nairobi United, signing a deal with the Kenyan giants until 30 June 2027.
The 28-year-old, whose preferred role is in the No.10 position, makes the move in the 2026/27 season after a spell in the capital with Nairobi United. He officially completed his switch on 16 July 2026 and becomes one of the latest additions to Gor Mahia’s midfield options.
Machaga arrives with experience in continental competition, having featured in the CAF Confederation Cup earlier in his career. He has made 10 appearances in the tournament, scoring once and logging more than 600 minutes of game time, underlining his familiarity with higher-intensity knockout football.
Before joining Nairobi United in January 2025, Machaga spent time with FC Talanta, having moved there from Bandari FC in July 2022. That sequence of domestic transfers has seen him build up a solid profile in Kenyan football, operating primarily as an attacking midfielder.
Born on 28 April 1998, Machaga is in what many consider the peak years of his career and his contract length gives Gor Mahia scope to integrate him over multiple campaigns. The move also reunites him with the Nairobi football scene, now in the colours of one of the country’s most successful clubs.
Machaga’s transfer from Nairobi United to Gor Mahia FC is confirmed as a completed move for the 2026/27 campaign, with his contract running through to the end of June 2027.
