English-Nigerian winger Noni Madueke set for medical on Tuesday ahead of Arsenal switch
England international of Nigerian descent Noni Madueke is edging closer to Arsenal switch in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old talented winger will leave Chelsea to join the Gunners after FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday night. The Blues takes on in-form Paris Saint Germain in a high-stake final in the United States of America, with both teams yearning for the trophy.
With both teams reaching an agreement over a transfer fee, Madueke is expected to travel to undergo his mandatory medical on Tuesday.
Madueke is joining Arsenal for a transfer worth €60m, taking into account performance-related bonuses.
The former PSV Eindhoven winger will be Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer after Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, Real Sociedad’s midfielder Martin Zubimendi and Brentford midfielder Christian Nørgaard.
In two-and-a-half seasons at Chelsea, Madueke logged 20 goals and nine assists in 92 games.
