England international of Ivory Coast descent Marc Guehi says he is focused on helping Crystal Palace despite his failed move to Liverpool.

The highly-rated centre-back had undergone a successful medical to join Liverpool, only for the Eagles to block the move.

Liverpool submitted a 35 million pounds offer to capture Guehi, but Palace were reluctant to sanction a move for the defender after failing to land a replacement on transfer deadline day.

With his current contract expiring in summer 2026, the Premier League club now risk losing Guehi for free next summer, with several clubs including Real Madrid and Barcelona expressing interest.

Despite failing to land a move to Liverpool, Guehi has affirmed commitment to Crystal Palace in the current campaign.

Asked about his failed move, he said, “To be honest, I have nothing to say… I’m focused on football and playing for Crystal Palace. But I want to thank the fans for their support. I really feel it.”

Guehi joined Palace in 2021 from Chelsea for €23 million and has since established himself as a key member of the team.

Since joining Palace, Guehi has played 165 matches, scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists, establishing himself as a defensive linchpin and a fan favorite.
