England midfielder of Ivorian descent, Marc Guehi, is reportedly on the radar of Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Reports indicate that Madrid are preparing a move for the Crystal Palace captain, with ESPN claiming their interest has intensified following the collapse of Guehi’s proposed transfer to Liverpool shortly before the close of the transfer window.

The 25-year-old centre-back has been one of Crystal Palace’s standout performers and, as club captain, has also established himself as a regular fixture in the England national team.

Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is believed to be seeking defensive reinforcements, with Dean Huijsen, Antonio Rüdiger, and Éder Militão currently his main options at the heart of defence.

Los Blancos view Guehi as a valuable market opportunity, as the defender will be available on a free transfer in 2026.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are expected to revive their pursuit of Guehi. The Reds had initially agreed a deal for the defender before Palace pulled out, with manager Oliver Glasner reportedly threatening to resign if his captain was sold.
