England-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Josh Acheampong, has reacted to speculations linking him with a potential move away from Chelsea.
According to the teenager, he is not paying attention to any of the speculations this summer.
Speaking in an interview, Acheampong stressed that he loves Chelsea and is happy to stay at the club.
“I’m not paying attention to all the speculation. I’m not paying attention to all the speculation. I love the club and Maresca trusts me. I always want to stay at Chelsea and show what I can do,” Acheampong said in an interview with English newspaper Daily Mail.
Josh Acheampong had his breakthrough at Chelsea last season. He featured in the English Premier League and other competitions as well, helping the Blues to win the Europa Conference League.
The 19-year-old has been a transfer target of German giants Bayern Munich in the last few weeks.
Chelsea are happy to keep the player are reportedly working on extending his contract.
