Bayer Leverkusen are keen on signing England defender of Ghanaian descent, Jarell Quansah, this summer.
The player, according to reports, will cost the German Bundesliga club €30 million.
The 22-year-old England U21 international is considered a priority target and a good replacement for Jonathan Tah, who joined Bayern Munich from Bayer Leverkusen early this month.
Quansah’s growing reputation has attracted attention beyond Leverkusen, with several Premier League clubs also monitoring his situation.
The high demand for the centre-back has caused his value to go up.
Currently on the books of Liverpool, Quansah has largely served as a backup behind Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konaté.
Despite limited playing time, the young centre-back is valued for his physical presence, aerial strength, and long-term potential.
He is under contract with Liverpool until 2029, but according to kicker, the Reds are open to discussions.
However, any formal decision on his future is expected to come after the ongoing U21 European Championship, where strong performances could further boost his market value.
Leverkusen are still weighing their options and hope to formally approach the defender next month.
