However, Villas-Boas did not provide guarantees about Adebayor’s playing time in upcoming matches. He mentioned that Adebayor might get more playing time if there is a change in the tactical system. Currently, the team relies on Jermain Defoe, and Villas-Boas suggested that the current two-striker system is not working well. He indicated that Adebayor could play more when the squad is rotated.
