American international defender Oguchi Onyewu has officially signed with Queens Park Rangers (QPR), as announced by the English Championship club. The 31-year-old player, who was a free agent after the end of his contract with Sporting Lisbon, expressed his enthusiasm about joining QPR and contributing to the club’s ambition of returning to the Premier League. Onyewu, standing at 1.95 meters and weighing 91 kg, has had a diverse career, including stints with FC Metz in France, La Louvière and Standard de Liège in Belgium, and a loan spell at Newcastle United. He has been a key figure in the defense, winning titles with Standard de Liège and representing the United States in international competitions, including the Gold Cup and the 2006 World Cup.
