Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony has reached an agreement with the Welsh club Swansea for a 4-year transfer worth €12 million. Although the club is yet to make an official announcement, it seems that Bony’s move to the Premier League is imminent.
Bony, who was reportedly also a target for other clubs, including West Ham, has chosen to join Swansea, a team coached by Dane Michael Laudrup. Swansea has been active in the transfer market, and Bony will be the club’s seventh summer recruit. The previous signings include Jonjo Shelvey, Alejandro Pozuelo, Jose Canas, Jordi Amat, Gregor Zabret, and Alex Gogic.
Coming from Vitesse Arnhem in the Netherlands, Bony had an impressive season and finished as the third-highest scorer in Europe. His addition to Swansea adds depth to the team’s attacking options and signals the club’s ambition for the upcoming season in the Premier League.
