The English Managers’ Association (LMA) has expressed its fury regarding the handling of David Moyes’ dismissal from Manchester United last Tuesday. In a public statement, the LMA criticized the club for what they deemed to be an unprofessional approach to the situation.
“The LMA is deeply disappointed and saddened by the manner in which David Moyes was dismissed. It was completely unprofessional for the news to break through the press without any direct communication from the club to Moyes,” stated the group representing Premier League coaches.
Moyes was abruptly sacked by Manchester United following their defeat against Everton on Sunday. Reports suggest that Moyes himself expressed feelings of anger and disgust towards the club’s behavior.
In the wake of Moyes’ departure, Ryan Giggs has been appointed as the interim manager until the end of the season.
