It’s official! Cardiff and Fulham have been relegated from the Premier League for the next season. Sunderland sealed their fate by clinching a crucial 1-0 victory over Manchester United this afternoon.
Cardiff faced a disappointing defeat against Newcastle, losing 3-0 with goals from Ameobi (18th), Rémy (88th), and Taylor (90+1th). Meanwhile, Fulham suffered a similar fate away to Stoke City, losing 4-1. Odemwingie (39th), Arnautovic (54th), Assaidi (73rd), and Walters (82nd) were the scorers for Stoke City, with Richardson scoring the consolation goal for Fulham.
With Norwich set to face Chelsea on Sunday, Sunderland’s salvation seems almost certain if Norwich fails to secure a win.
