Despite the ongoing conflict with his coach regarding his international future, Nigerian player Peter Odemwingie showcased his focus and skills on the field. In the 10th day of the English Premier League, Odemwingie scored a double for his club, West Bromwich Albion, in their match against Southampton.
Odemwingie’s first goal came in the 36th minute with a powerful strike from outside the penalty area. He followed it up in the second half, receiving a cross from Shane Long and scoring his second goal of the match.
With this victory, West Bromwich Albion secured three points, bringing their total to 17, and they currently stand in 5th place in the Premier League standings.
