Emmanuel Yaghr: Ghanaian striker joins Kyrgyzaltyn on free transfer from Bars

Ghanaian centre-forward Emmanuel Yaghr has joined Kyrgyzaltyn from league rivals Bars on a free transfer. The 27-year-old, whose preferred position is through the middle in attack, has signed a deal running until 31 December 2026 with the Jogorku Liga club.

Yaghr moves after a short spell at Bars, whom he also joined on a free in January 2026 from Kirivong FC. His arrival strengthens Kyrgyzaltyn’s forward options for the remainder of the 2026 domestic campaign, with the club adding a player who already knows the demands of Kyrgyz top-flight football.

The right-footed striker has featured regularly in the current Jogorku Liga season, making nine league appearances and contributing two goals and two assists. He has also played in the Kyrgyzstan Cup this term, appearing three times in the knockout competition. Standing at 1.83m, Yaghr offers a physical presence in the penalty area as well as experience across several clubs.

Yaghr has spent much of his recent career in Kyrgyz football, enjoying a successful spell at FK Abdysh-Ata Kant, where he won back-to-back Kyrgyzstan titles in 2022-23 and 2023-24. He was also the top goalscorer in the Shoro Premier League in 2021-22 with 14 goals, underlining his pedigree in front of goal. His current market value is listed at €150,000.

Having completed his move within the Jogorku Liga, Yaghr will now see out the year at Kyrgyzaltyn under a contract that runs until the end of 2026.
