Mohamed Salah has once again received high praise, this time from former France international and 1998 World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit.
The ex-Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder has expressed his admiration for the Liverpool star, urging the club to secure his future as speculation over his contract continues.
Petit’s comments come just days after legendary former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger also singled out Salah as his favourite player outside of his beloved Gunners.
I love everything about Mo Salah
Speaking on Talksport, Petit was effusive in his praise for the Egyptian forward, describing him as a joy to watch and a player he would have relished as a teammate.
To be honest with you, I love everything about Mo Salah.
I love the player, I love the man, I love the image.
There is nothing I don’t like about him, and I am very, very difficult to please,” Petit said.

I would have loved to be his teammate. (…) I don’t know what will happen to him at the end of the season, but I hope he stays in the Premier League because that’s why I want to watch football on TV, that’s why I want to go to the stadium.
For me, this guy is a joy for everything he has done so far and he is one of the best in the Premier League.
Contract talks still unresolved
Salah, who has been a key figure for Liverpool since joining in 2017, is approaching the final year of his contract, which expires on June 30, 2025.
While reports suggest he would prefer to extend his stay at Anfield, negotiations have yet to reach an agreement.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian clubs remain keen on securing his signature, reportedly prepared to offer him the most lucrative contract of his career should he decide to leave English football.
With uncertainty surrounding his future, Salah remains focused on Liverpool’s campaign, but his next move could shape the final years of his illustrious career.
