Emmanuel Nanapere: Nigerian forward joins Gela on free transfer from Teramo
Nigerian centre-forward Emmanuel Nanapere has joined Italian side Gela on a free transfer from Teramo, signing a deal until 30 June 2027.
The 25-year-old, born in Lagos and standing at 1.84m, moves across Serie D after leaving Teramo at the end of his contract. He arrives at Gela with recent experience in Italy’s fourth tier and becomes one of the club’s attacking reinforcements ahead of the new campaign.
Nanapere has built a solid record in Serie D, making 58 league appearances and scoring 19 goals, with a further five assists, while adding six outings and one assist in the Coppa Italia Serie D. His overall minutes in the division equate to roughly a goal every two full matches, underlining the centre-forward’s ability to contribute regularly in the final third.
The striker joined Teramo in 2025 on a free transfer from Castelfidardo and later spent part of last season on loan at Recanatese before returning to his parent club. Before his move to Italy, Nanapere featured in Ukraine with Olimpik Donetsk and then O. Kropyvnytsky, having initially signed for Olimpik after a spell without a club.
Now valued at €75,000, Nanapere commits to Gela for the 2026-27 season, adding proven Serie D experience to the club’s attacking options following his switch from Teramo on a free transfer.
