In their first-ever meeting, Al-Orobah FC snatched a dramatic 1-0 win over Al-Fayha in the Saudi Pro League, thanks to Emmanuel Boateng’s last-minute heroics.
The match at the Al Majma’ah Sports City Stadium was a tactical affair, with Al-Fayha dominating possession (69%) and leading on expected goals. However, Al-Orobah’s resilience and Emmanuel Boateng’s clinical finish proved decisive.
The pivotal moment came in the 90th minute when Hamed Al Maghati delivered a pinpoint cross into the box. Boateng, who tirelessly led Al-Orobah’s attack, latched onto the delivery with a composed right-footed strike into the bottom corner, stunning the home fans.
Al-Fayha’s frustrations boiled over in stoppage time when Renzo López saw red for violent conduct, leaving his team with little chance to respond.
This marked Emmanuel Boateng’s second goal of the season in 12 appearances, complementing his two assists. Al-Orobah, now brimming with confidence, will prepare to face Al Riyadh on December 6th at the Al-Orobah Club Stadium.
