Emmanuel Adebayor, sidelined with a hamstring injury since last March, has been absent from Tottenham’s lineup since his last English Premier League match against Arsenal.
Despite initial hopes for his return against Liverpool, the Togolese striker, who boasts 11 goals in 17 games, ultimately did not recover in time and watched his team’s 4-0 defeat from home.
With Tottenham struggling in attack in Adebayor’s absence, the club is banking on his return to bolster their form as the season draws to a close.
“We’re hopeful for Adebayor’s return in our upcoming fixtures,” stated the London club on its Twitter account on Thursday.
