“I am a Phobian. I have always been. It’s a great team and I would like to play with them before the end of my career,” Adebayor affirmed when asked about a t-shirt bearing the emblem of the esteemed Ghanaian club.
He further expressed his desire to return to Africa to conclude his football journey, with Hearts of Oak being his preferred destination. “I started playing football in Africa and I intend to end my career there, and Hearts is my choice,” he emphasized.
Adebayor’s star status in Ghana is evident, as he frequently spends his summer vacations in the country and even owns property in the capital city of Accra. “I spend most of my time in Ghana when I’m on vacation. It’s a beautiful country, and the people are very kind,” he shared warmly.
