André Yoan Bonny’s form with Inter Milan has caught the attention of Ivory Coast coach Emerse Fae, who is eager to add the young forward to his squad.
The 22-year-old Franco-Ivorian striker, who represents France at youth level, continues to make his mark in Serie A after an impressive spell at Parma.
Bonny has scored three goals and provided three assists in nine matches this season, further confirming his potential as one of the brightest attacking talents in Italian football.
His consistency and maturity have convinced Inter Milan to trust him in crucial moments, especially during Marcus Thuram’s absence.
Emerse Fae, determined to strengthen the reigning African champions ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, has identified Bonny as a key target.
“We’ve been following André Yoan Bonny for a long time, even before he joined Inter Milan,” Fae explained. “We are in discussion with him and his representatives.
I
hope he will be attracted by the collective and individual project we are building for the Elephants.”
The Ivorian coach is leading a generational renewal, aiming to blend experience with youthful energy.
Bonny, born in Aubervilliers, France, embodies the next phase of that vision. His physical strength, technical ability, and versatility make him a valuable asset.
Standing at 1.89 meters and weighing 83 kilograms, Bonny mirrors the attributes of former Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony, known for his power and composure in front of goal.
He also displays traits similar to Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku, using his strength to hold up play and create space for teammates.
If the discussions progress as planned, Bonny could soon switch allegiance to Ivory Coast, a move that would strengthen the Elephants’ attacking depth as they prepare to defend their continental crown.
