Emam Ashour set for Al Ahly return against Enppi
Al Ahly fans received good news this week as midfielder Emam Ashour stepped back onto the pitch in a friendly game against the youth side on Monday.
The runout comes just in time ahead of the Red Devils’ Egyptian Premier League meeting with Enppi on Sunday in the sixth round of the campaign.
Ashour’s return is a major lift for the team. He had been sidelined since suffering a broken collarbone in Al Ahly’s opening match of the 2025 Club World Cup against Inter Miami. His recovery marks the end of a difficult spell for the player, who has been eager to rejoin the squad.
Al Ahly confirmed on their official website: “Emam Ashour participated in the match to prepare him after recovering from a broken collarbone.”
Meanwhile, defenders Yasser Ibrahim, Yassin Marei, and Mohamed Shukry continue their rehabilitation programs under the supervision of the club’s medical staff. The trio is still working toward full fitness, with hopes of adding more depth to the squad in the coming weeks.
