ELIM CAN U20 SENEGAL 2015: SOUTH SUDAN ALSO FORFEIT, WEEKEND PROGRAM

Caflogo1 300x169 1

Here is the updated schedule for the first round of qualifiers for the CAN U20 Senegal 2015, along with notable developments:

Equatorial Guinea and South Sudan have both withdrawn from the competition, allowing Togo and Rwanda, respectively, to advance to the next round without playing.

The match between Liberia and Gambia is at risk of postponement due to concerns over the Ebola virus. Gambian authorities have requested guarantees from CAF to ensure the safety of their delegation in Liberia.

Despite these withdrawals and concerns, several matches are still scheduled to take place this weekend:

Saturday, April 5:

  1. Mozambique vs. Namibia
  2. Malawi vs. Botswana
  3. Swaziland vs. Lesotho
  4. Seychelles vs. Ethiopia
  5. Djibouti vs. Burundi
  6. Sierra Leone vs. Guinea
  7. Niger vs. Congo
  8. Tunisia vs. Mauritania
  9. Ivory Coast vs. Guinea Bissau

Sunday, April 6:

  1. Kenya vs. Tanzania
  2. Liberia vs. Gambia (potentially postponed)
  3. Chad vs. Libya
  4. Somalia vs. Sudan
