The first results of the first-leg matches in the second round of the CAN U20 qualifiers for Senegal 2015 have been revealed. On Saturday, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Mali, and Zambia showcased impressive performances away from home.
Nigeria’s Flying Eagles secured a commanding 2-0 victory over Tanzania, courtesy of goals from Yahaya and Awoniyi.
Meanwhile, South Africa took a significant step towards qualification with a 2-0 win against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa. Chaine and Ngubo were the goal-scorers for the visitors.
The match between Rwanda and Gabon ended in a goalless draw, whereas Lesotho registered a 3-1 victory over Angola on home soil.
Additional matches are scheduled for this Sunday, including Togo vs. Morocco, Burundi vs. Cameroon, and Congo vs. Benin.
