Elias Bakchich: France-Morocco forward joins Ste Genevieve on free transfer

France-Morocco centre-forward Elias Bakchich has joined Ste Genevieve on a free transfer from ASA Montereau. The 25-year-old moves within the French pyramid and will lead the line for the National 2 Group H side after his switch was finalised on 22 July 2026.

Bakchich, who can operate through the middle in attack, arrives after a season of regular football, having featured prominently in National 2 Group H. He made 25 appearances in the competition last term, scoring four goals and averaging a strike every 460 minutes across 1,838 minutes of action.

The forward had been with ASA Montereau since the start of the 2025-26 season, having also joined that club on a free transfer from Le Mee SF. His latest move continues a sequence of step-by-step progression through the French game, with his performances at Montereau earning him a place in Ste Genevieve’s squad for the new campaign.

Bakchich was born on 13 December 2000 and is eligible for both France and Morocco. His arrival adds depth in the central attacking role for Ste Genevieve as they prepare for the upcoming National 2 Group H season, following his formal registration on a permanent free transfer from ASA Montereau.
