El Bilal Toure: Marseille linked with move for Atalanta winger
El Bilal Toure, the Mali and Ivory Coast international currently at Atalanta, is being linked with a summer move to Ligue 1 side Marseille. The French club are exploring a deal for the 24-year-old left winger as they look to strengthen their attacking options before the new season.
Toure returned to Atalanta this summer after a loan spell at Besiktas in the 2025-26 campaign, having also spent the previous season on loan at Stuttgart. Despite his limited time in Serie A, he has produced two goals and an assist in 11 league appearances for the Bergamo club, and is viewed in France as a winger capable of operating in a major European league.
Marseille’s interest comes at a time when Toure’s market value is estimated at around €13m, and any negotiations are likely to factor in the length of his existing deal. Atalanta signed him from UD Almeria in July 2023 for a fee of €30.2m, and he remains under contract with the Italian side until 30 June 2028, leaving the club in a strong position at the bargaining table.
Toure has experience across several top divisions, including Ligue 1, La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A and the Turkish Super Lig, and was part of the Atalanta squad that won the Europa League in the 2023-24 season. His performances in Spain with Almeria, where he scored seven La Liga goals in 21 appearances, underlined his scoring potential from wide areas.
For now, Atalanta are preparing for the new campaign with Toure still on their books, and any move to Marseille would require an agreement that reflects both his contractual security in Italy and his established value on the European market.
