German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have not received offers for France-born attacker of Cameroonian descent, Jean-Mattéo Bahoya, contrary to reports in the media.
Recent media reports have linked Bahoya with a potential exit from the Bundesliga club, suggesting Frankfurt could be open to selling the France-born winger if a fee in the region of 40 million euros is met.
The rumours also pointed to interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, further fuelling talk of an imminent transfer.
However, speaking ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt’s home clash against Bayer Leverkusen, sporting director Markus Krösche poured cold water on those claims.
In an interview with Sky, Krösche made it clear that the club has not received any official proposal for the player, stating: “I haven’t received an offer yet.”
Pressed further on whether there was anything concrete behind the speculation, Krösche was unequivocal in his response: “No.”
Despite the firm denial, the Eintracht boss stopped short of offering long-term assurances about Bahoya’s future at the club. Drawing on his experience, Krösche remained cautious when asked to rule out potential developments before the transfer window closes, saying: “I’ve been around too long to give you any confirmations right now. We’ll see.”
For now, Bahoya remains an Eintracht Frankfurt player, with the club maintaining that discussions around a possible transfer exist only in the media rather than in reality.
