Eintracht Frankfurt still searching for Noel Futkeu buyer

Eintracht Frankfurt are still trying to find a buyer for Noel Futkeu, but no concrete offer has arrived yet.

The club has already decided to sell the 23-year-old striker this summer, and Sky reports that Frankfurt would like to receive as much as 8 million euros.

Futkeu returned from his loan spell at Greuther Fürth, where he produced a standout season with 19 goals and five assists in the 2. Bundesliga. Even so, he does not figure in Frankfurt’s sporting plans, which is why he was left out of the squad’s training camp in Grassau. The wait now is simply for a club willing to meet the asking price.

Futkeu’s path to this point has been steady rather than spectacular. He began at Rot-Weiss Essen, made his senior debut there at 17 in January 2020, moved on to FC Köln II in 2021 and later joined Schwarz-Weiß Essen, where he became one of the team’s most important players.

Frankfurt signed him in 2023 with the reserve team in mind, and he has now reached a stage where a transfer away appears most likely.
