Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the loan signing of French forward of Congolese descent Arnaud Kalimuendo, with the Bundesliga side holding an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old joins Frankfurt from Nottingham Forest, bringing an end to a short spell in England where he featured 14 times across all competitions and scored two goals since arriving at the start of the campaign.
Kalimuendo was developed in the Paris region before joining Paris Saint-Germain as a youngster, making his professional debut in 2020. He later built his reputation in France with RC Lens and Stade Rennais, enjoying a particularly productive spell in Rennes colours.
During his time at Rennes, the striker scored 40 goals and registered 14 assists in 112 appearances. In the 2024/25 season, he finished among Ligue 1’s top scorers with 17 goals. Kalimuendo has also represented France extensively at youth level, earning 52 caps and featuring in the 2024 Olympic squad.
Reacting to the attacker’s arrival, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche expressed his satisfaction with the signing.
“With Arnaud Kalimuendo, we are signing a striker who, despite his young age, has already played at a consistently high level in Ligue 1. He combines pace, runs in behind and finishing ability with a very high willingness to work off the ball,” he said.
