Eintracht Frankfurt make first move for Louey Ben Farhat as European interest intensifies

Eintracht Frankfurt are under pressure to improve their offer for Karlsruher SC winger Louey Ben Farhat, with Bournemouth, Southampton, RB Salzburg and Lille all showing concrete interest in the 20-year-old.

The four clubs have reportedly contacted Ben Farhat’s representatives with offers, according to Sky Germany journalist Dennis Bayer. Their interest underlines the Tunisia international’s growing reputation and has increased the urgency for Eintracht Frankfurt to try to complete a deal before their rivals act.

Frankfurt currently hold a significant advantage in the negotiations. The Bundesliga club are understood to have reached a verbal agreement with Ben Farhat, giving them a favourable position as discussions continue.

They are also the only club to have formally submitted a transfer offer to Karlsruher SC so far. That move reflects Frankfurt’s determination to secure the young attacking player quickly, although their opening proposal has not met the expectations of the second-tier German club.

Karlsruher SC sporting officials Mario Eggimann and Timon Pauls consider the offer too low and want a more substantial fee for a player they regard as having considerable potential.

The club are seeking a total package worth more than 10m euros, with additional bonuses to be included. That valuation could rise further if Bournemouth, Southampton, RB Salzburg or Lille decide to make formal approaches to Karlsruher SC in the coming days.

Frankfurt must therefore decide whether to increase their bid if they are to preserve their lead in the race. The German club’s apparent agreement with Ben Farhat gives them an important advantage, but that position could become less decisive if another suitor meets Karlsruher SC’s financial demands.

With several European clubs monitoring the situation, the next few days may prove crucial. The transfer pursuit is developing into one of the most contested deals of the closing stages of the summer transfer window, with Frankfurt facing increasing pressure to turn their early interest into an agreement.

Ben Farhat remains under contract with Karlsruher SC until 30 June 2029. The Tunisia international’s market value is estimated at 10m euros, a figure broadly reflecting the level of fee the club are seeking before bonuses are added.
