Eintracht Frankfurt advance in talks to sign German-Moroccan striker Younes Ebnoutalib
German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt are in advanced talks to sign German-born striker of Moroccan descent, Younes Ebnoutalib.
Reports from several Sky sources suggest that Frankfurt are nearing a personal agreement with the 22-year-old forward, with a verbal understanding said to be almost in place. Despite this progress, a few outstanding matters still need to be resolved at the club level before the move can be completed.
Sporting director Markus Krösche is believed to be keen on securing Ebnoutalib’s signature during the winter transfer window, although discussions with his current club, SV Elversberg, have yet to reach a decisive point, and no official bid has been submitted.
While Frankfurt would prefer to conclude the deal in January, reports indicate that Ebnoutalib is expected to join the Bundesliga side no later than next summer.
Although the main terms between the player and Eintracht Frankfurt are largely settled, the transfer will only proceed once both clubs agree on a fee, with negotiations between Frankfurt and SV Elversberg still pending.
