Egypt’s U-17 squad set for Qatar World Cup adventure
The coaching staff of Egypt’s U-17 national football team, led by Ahmed El-Kass, has announced the final squad for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, taking place in Qatar from November 3rd to 27th.
The squad features 21 talented players, plus two reserves, in line with tournament rules allowing for late changes due to injuries or emergencies.
Goalkeepers include Omar Abdel Aziz, Amr Adel, and Mohamed Tarek. Defense will be anchored by Hamza El-Degwy, Nour Ashraf, Fares Fakhry, Adham Farid, Mohannad El-Shami, and Yassin Hossam.
The midfield boasts Omar Kamal, Omar Abou Taleb, Basel Medhat, Mohamed Hamd, Bilal Atiya, Anas Roshdy, Ibrahim El-Nagaaoui, Mohamed Sobeh, and Mohamed Al-Bandari. The forwards are Hamza Abdel Karim, Abdel Aziz El-Zoghby, and Ziad Ayoub. Standby players are Ammar Mohamed El-Sayed and Seif El-Gebaly.
Egypt is in Group E with England, Haiti, and Venezuela, a challenging but exciting mix. Manager Ahmed El-Kass expressed deep confidence in his squad, stating, “This group of players is talented, disciplined, and determined.” The Pharaohs’ journey begins against Haiti, aiming to capture the spirit and pride of Egyptian football on the world stage.
