Ferj Omaran, the vice president of Ismaily SC, has criticized the proposal put forward by the Clubs Association regarding the implementation of the Belgian league system in Egypt for the upcoming season.
Speaking on the program “Number 10” on Channel One with presenter Karim Ramzy, Ferj Omaran stated, “How can the Clubs Association introduce a new law in the league system without consulting the championship clubs?”
He added, “Please involve us in the discussions; our goal is to elevate Egyptian football, and while the league ends within specified timeframes, it shouldn’t be done this way.”
Regarding the application of the Belgian league system in the upcoming season, he said, “This proposal will not give us enough opportunities because we will play fewer matches, and there will be no chance for compensation.
This proposal did not come from the sky; these are opinions, and we must intervene together.
With all due respect to Deputy Ahmed Diab, your words are not coming from the sky.
We will study the proposal after sitting down with the Clubs Association to discuss the matter.”
