The Youth National Team, led by coach Wael Riad, commenced its training camp today at a hotel in Cairo. The camp is set to continue until January 29th, marking a crucial phase in Egypt’s preparations for the qualifiers of the African Youth Championship.
Wael Riad, at the start of the camp, delivered a motivating speech to the players, urging them to exert maximum effort to secure their positions in the national team.
He emphasized that the pitch is the ultimate decider in the coaching staff’s selections.
Staying in the team, he stressed, would be for the committed players, both on and off the field, maintaining their performance levels both with their clubs and the national team.
The training session kicked off at 2:00 PM on the hotel’s residence pitch, with the full participation of all players.
The session included physical exercises and drills focusing on aerial balls, concluding with a friendly match among the players.
In a related context, the coaching staff of the Egyptian Youth National Team, led by Wael Riad, visited Luxor from January 8th to 11th.
The purpose of this visit was to observe players in the region in the pursuit of identifying and recruiting the most talented individuals for the youth national team.
During this period, the coaching staff established its base at the Youth City in Luxor, closely monitoring a significant number of players from the Upper Egypt region.
This initiative aimed to provide opportunities for talents across the country, aligning with the coaching staff’s strategy to explore and integrate the best elements into the Youth National Team.
