Promising Egyptian forward Hamza Abdel Karim made his first appearance in training with Barcelona’s reserve team after switching to club in the winter window.
The Spanish powerhouse sealed a move for the Egyptian prospect in the recently concluded window, securing his signature on a six months loan with an option to buy from Al Ahly.
Barcelona had expressed a strong desire to acquire the services of the attacker in the winter, having showcased a strong and an impressive performance at the Under-17 World Cup with Egypt.
The 18-year-old is expected to feature for the Barcelona Athletic under coach Juliano Belletti, and stand a chance of being promoted to the first team if he manages to impress.
The deal to transfer Hamza Abdelkarim to Barcelona is on loan until the end of the season, with the option to buy for 3 million euros, and the price may rise to 5 million euros with bonuses and incentives related to the player’s performance and goal contributions.
Hamza had his first training session with the Catalan club in preparation for the upcoming match in the Spanish Fourth Division League.
Barcelona will play a match next Sunday against Barbastro as part of the twenty-second round of the third group of the Spanish League Championship.
