Ibrahim Adel has swapped Cairo for Abu Dhabi in a move that marks a fresh chapter in his career and a big signing for Al Jazira.
The Emirati club confirmed the 24-year-old winger’s arrival from Egyptian side Pyramids FC in a $5 million deal after the club agreed to let him go. Adel passed his medical in recent hours and officially signed his new contract.
Al Jazira made the announcement in style, writing on X: “A new magician in the ranks of the Pride of Abu Dhabi… Ready?” They followed it up with, “From Cairo to Abu Dhabi… dear Al-Jazrawiya fans, we present to you the new star of Abu Dhabi’s pride, Ibrahim Adel.”
Adel, who played a key role in Pyramids’ CAF Champions League and Egypt Cup triumphs last season, will now link up with fellow Egyptian Mohamed Elneny in the UAE Pro League.
Though offers came from France and Swiss club Lugano, Pyramids chose the Emirati deal, allowing Adel to continue his rise with Al Jazira.
