Egyptian striker Mohamed Sherif has opened up on his ambition after rejoining Al Ahly.
The 29-year-old spent time at Al Ahly from 2018 to 2023 before securing a transfer to Saudi Pro League outfit Al Khaleej.
He has returned to Al Ahly ahead of the 2025/26 football season and is expected to provide a major squad boost for the side.
Speaking to the media team of Al Ahly after his return, Mohamed Sherif said he is ready to compete with the attackers in the team to help the club achieve more success.
“All the players in the attacking line are distinguished, and I hope to be an addition to them. I am no stranger to the atmosphere or the club’s atmosphere in general. We compete for the good of the team, and I hope that we will succeed together in achieving our goals of winning all the championships and achieving the numbers we seek in the coming period,” Mohamed Sherif said.
He added, “I have benefited greatly from my experience in the Saudi League, especially since it includes many distinguished names, and my focus at the moment is with Al-Ahly. I followed the team’s matches in the Club World Cup, and I wished to go as far as possible, but this is football due to the lack of luck in matches, and we will work to compensate the fans in the new season.”
In the upcoming 2025/26 football season, Mohamed Sherif will be playing a key role for Al Ahly.
